For New Media Tools, we had to design a mock website for Audi.
Originally I started off on a black background. Weighing in all my points and opting for a center-based design.
I found very nice stock images, and started work on how to manage the layout of the site, while still keeping it aesthetically appealing.
It wasn't too long until a friend pointed out that I wasn't actually supposed to be working on a black background. I was extremely disheartened by this.
Cursing my lack of attentiveness, I started on a new layout. I played with many colours and photos before finally reaching a light coloured palette that would match well with my photo.
I found a decent weighted center for the image, and started on the main bars. I apologize for the playlist going on in the left corner.
It was feeling way too empty, so I started playing around with the middle, finding content to fill it in with, taking other websites as examples.

After about 5 hours, I was finished. I figured I'd show off the amount of markers I used. Before creating any sort of content, I measure everything out accordingly with markers, to make sure it will be evenly weighted on both sides.
A couple of tweaks here and there, and finally, I had my finished product.
